Mom's two very proud protectors always on guard.

I found a way to watch my wife and keep her from wandering away and still do the gardening. And the Rottweilers seem to enjoy helping out, too. I put a chair on the front patio, hooked Ruff to a leash and got Jackie to sit outside and hold on to him. This lets me keep an eye on her while I'm working. Her Alzheimer's is getting her in trouble when she is left alone and this new trick seems to work out fine for everyone. And the two boys sure looked proud being on guard.

And little Sassy took up her forward guard position just in case.

  1. Love seeing these pictures! I don't know if you're aware, but there is a website dedicated to Rotties.

I put a couple of pictures of my boy on there, thought I'd share with you, if you're interested.

    1. Thanks, Carol, and there are dozens of my Rottweiler pictures on Google Image searches, too. See the latest post on an old photo I found yesterday.

  2. You should try giving your wife two to three tablespoons of organic, virgin coconut oil. There have been studies proving it helps Alzheimer's patients. I've recently gotten my mother on it and my dad says he thinks he can tell a difference. If she drinks coffee just put a T. in her cup.

    1. Thanks, Sharon. My wife's Doctor also recommended this and I tried it. I do not care much for Snopes but they have a fairly accurate examination of this treatment here: http://www.snopes.com/medical/disease/coconutoil.asp including links back to the original story the Doctor gave me about Dr. Mary Newport.
