Not to be outdone by the festive gourmet meal that Axl and Ruffin shared last night, a meal that I also shared earlier with my new best girl when we ate dinner, today Bessie saw and tasted her first snow. And eat it she did when she first set foot in it this morning at 8AM. If my observations are correct I would say I think she likes it. Because all Rottweilers love snow.
And Ruffin was there to show his little girl all the really cool things you can do with this new stuff. Playing chase is always one of her favorites.
Like having a game of chase me and catch me if you can.
And, of course, some wrestling to start the new day.
You can tell this is an action shot because her ears are standing straight up.
Never letting some play get in the way of her official duties, Bessie challenges a neighbor who is out cleaning snow off her car. Thanks to Ruffin's combat training, Bessie has become a formidable watch-dog. Judging by the stance you could almost hear her bark.
OK, time for breakfast. Lets go eat.
Yes, they do love the snow, don't they! I wish I could say that same for myself, I'm dreading our first real snow fall, but I know my boy will revel in the white stuff; if only I could get him to help with snow removal :)
ReplyDeleteI love these snow pics, they're great. Bessie is sure growing fast! It's all white here too now and our Rotties love it just as much as yours do. It's a good thing, because we probably won't see grass again now until April or May :(
ReplyDeleteJust wondering if they use Rottweilers to pull sleds? They sure got the strength.
DeleteNot sleds, per se, but carts for famers and butchers, and they would drive cattle, too.
DeleteOh WOW, Bessie really is growing, and she really looks like she is having a ball. I am so glad she has learned her place with the Old Man.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.

Flee, don't forget to share the details on your new baby.
DeleteHi There,
DeleteI definitely will do. Im just in two minds at the moment. To find a boy that has been docked (which is now illegal in South Africa), is exceptionally difficult and many a vet will bemoan you getting one that has been. But Rott's just looks so much better and more natural without a tail. :-(
Oh well let us see
Thanks again

Flee, a Rottweiler with a tail is dangerous around the house. A happy Rott with a wagging tail can sweep off the contents of a coffee table and give you serious bruises below your knees.
DeleteOhhh Dont I know it, have been slapped in the face while sleeping by a wild wag LOL... Not the best way to be woken up ...
DeleteI do so badly want a docked baby... :-(
